A Brief History
As the nation's oldest marine insurance provider, we offer our clients an unparalleled history of service, ingenuity and industry knowledge. For more than 200 years, ACE and its predecessor companies have been providing superior marine insurance. We began charting the course of marine insurance when, in 1792 we issued the first marine policy written in the United States, covering the transatlantic voyage of the sailing ship America.
